Meet the personal wardrobe stylists of Lots of Luxe:
Melrose W. Fisher Founder of Lots of Luxe (2011) – Melrose is originally from Kinston, N.C. and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and Junior College in Raleigh and UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing. After 25+ years at UNC HealthCare and School of Medicine, primarily in the Division of Cardiology as a Clinical Research Coordinator, Melrose decided to change professional direction and become a Doncaster Wardrobe Stylist. Melrose established the Chapel Hill-Doncaster Agency in 2003. In Spring 2014, Melrose and Lissa Jensen (prior agency leader for Carlisle ETCETERA in Chapel Hill) merged their agencies, talents, and energies. This merger resulted in a switch in product line of women’s clothing and accessories from Doncaster to Carlisle- ETCETERA.
Melrose and husband, Rob (UNC ’77) are parents of 2 boys: Robbie (Guilford College ‘09) and Davis (UNC-CH 2013). Outside of her Lots of Luxe business, Melrose enjoys her work with St. Mary’s High School and UNC-Chapel Hill along with her UNC sorority Alpha Delta Pi.
“It’s all about “The Client” that makes this business so much fun. It’s about what we provide – Fine Fabrics, Fabulous Fit, and Superior Service along with the trusting and fun relationship we create with each client that keep our customers coming back.”
Lissa Jensen has been a CARLISLE Style / Fashion Consultant with her own business, The Classic Design Group, for ten years in the Chapel Hill community and has been involved with ETCETERA for the past three years. She is an Interior Designer using her fabric and color sense in the Clothing industry. The best part of showing Carlisle is getting to know the each client and building relationships with them.
Lissa and Dan Jensen have lived in Chapel Hill since 1999 and had three children, Sam, Sarah Jane, and Elizabeth. Sports keeping her busy much of the time, she is active playing tennis and volunteering in the Chapel Hill community. She is happy to join forces with Melrose with these fantastic clothing lines!
Mary Allen – Mary and her husband Jeff moved from New York to North Carolina in 2000 and resides in Holly Springs. They had enough of the cold and snow! They have two children who both graduated from Cornell. Their daughter and her husband live in Raleigh, while their son and his family are in New Jersey.
Mary grew up in the clothing business. Her father owned a large, upscale men’s store and she worked there; learning about fabric, fashion and, above all, quality. Organization in the store was key, leading her to follow the same path with my own closets, and ultimately, all over the house. Mary and her husband, Jeff have moved many times with his corporation, and being organized was a big help at both ends of the move. The moving companies loved that rooms and boxes were all labeled. Unfortunately, unpacking was still always a chore! Carlisle became part of Mary’s life while still in NY, where she was introduced to their beautiful clothes. Everything about the line was appealing to Mary. The fabrics were gorgeous; styles classic yet fashion forward. All the details of high-end design were there, without the price tag. When she moved to North Carolina in 2000, she searched for a Carlisle agency and two years later began to work for that agency. She’s worked with several area agencies, learning the business, and still, believes Carlisle is one of the best values on the market today. Mary was an associate of Lissa’s Carlisle-ETCETERA agency and therefore joined Lots of Luxe when we merged. Mary has been a great addition to Lots of Luxe. She definitely brings added value to our agency with her organizational skills and vast experience thus allowing Lots of Luxe to offer yet another personal service to our clients.
“I think women lose track of what’s in their closets/drawers and tend to hang on to items that don’t fit, are outdated, or that they are emotionally attached to. That’s where someone who is unbiased can help audit and organize their closet. Since most of us can’t afford an entirely new wardrobe each season, it’s important to choose key pieces that work with other items in your closet. Clothes should not only make you look good, but they should feel wonderful. I think Carlisle and Etcetera accomplish that every season. I have clients I visit at least twice a year to seasonally change closets and purge when necessary. I also do personal shopping for (and with ) them throughout the year. I would welcome working with you, send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or give me at call 919-606-0442.”
